The Filter Test Rig ALF 114 has been developed especially for air filter testing according to standards ISO 16890-FDIS, EN 779:2012 and ASHRAE 52.2-2008. Topas can fall back to a long-standing expertise in the field of construction and installing of filter test systems – since 1995 we have been developing, manufacturing, and installing particle filtration test rigs conforming to standards and user-defined ones for filter media and complete filter elements for quality control and scientific work. Here quantification of dust holding capacity, differential pressure curves and filter efficiencies are the main. In the filter test stand ALF 114 the filter samples can be easily installed into the rotatable and movable duct sections. A filtrated air flow is loaded with particles. In this way information about the increasing differential pressure and the efficiency of the filters will be obtained. With these results the filter samples can be classified.
The test rig ALF 114 contains the following components:
- Air cleaning with particle filters (H 13)
- DEHS Atomizer Aerosol Generators ATM 231 for filter efficiency measurement and discharge of filter samples
- Neutralization with Bipolar Aerosol Neutralizer Unit EAN 581
- ASHRAE Dust Disperser SAG 440 for dust loading with online-weighing (optional)
- Glass channel for test item
- Square duct sections from stainless steel with 610 by 610 mm with windows and safety filter
- Particle measurement with 2 optical particle counters (LAP 340) (0.2 .. 10 µm, 12 particle size classes) at the same time
- Universal filter holding system for pocket and cassette filters, filter cartridges and flat media
- Sensors for differential pressure, air flow rate, temperature and relative humidity
- Flow rate unit with radial blower, controlled by frequency inverter and throttle flap with wide flow rate range (600 … 6000 m³/h)
- Test rig control and data acquisition software PAFWin
