The Sample Switching Unit SYS 520 has been developed for the determination of fractional separation efficiencies of filters or filter media at two different sampling points, that is before and after the filter. This task can be realized with the sample switching unit SYS 520 with only one particle size analyzer economically and reproducible. With the switching unit an automated and safe exchange between the measurement of sampling lines I, II and a sampling line of a purge routine is possible (using the integrated HEPA filter).

The SYS 520 is designed for direct connection to the Laser Aerosol Particle Size Spectrometer LAP 322.
The models SYS 520/P and SYS 520/H are integrated in test stand solutions and have a hardware interface that both transmitsthe control signals and ensures the power supply.
The model SYS 520/S is designed for use with various particle measurement devices, like Particle Counter for Air and Gases LAP 340. The control of the device via a serial communication port (RS 232) by means of a computer.
With the help of analysis and control software PASWin or the software for filter test rigs PAFWin, it is easy possible to switch manually or automatically between two sampling lines.
